FAQs
Is the Prayer Barge accessible?
The Prayer Barge is light and airy, with good acoustics, but it is still a boat—it moves slightly when other boats pass. Access is via a wide set of steps with handrails on both sides, and there’s a small gap between the quay and the boat. We're happy to help if you need assistance or want the barge pulled closer. At present, we don’t have ramp or lift access for wheelchair users.
Can I hire the Prayer Barge?
We’d love for you to use the Barge for gatherings that encourage people toward God. As a charity, we can’t hire it out commercially, but we welcome donations for events that align with our charitable purpose. It's been used for prayer groups, retreats, book discussions, and quiet space for reflection. Just reach out to chat about what you have in mind.
Do I have to be religious to get involved?
Not at all. We believe God is interested in relationship, not ritual. Whether you're exploring faith, feeling spiritually adrift, or just looking for a space to breathe, you're welcome aboard.
What kind of events happen on the Barge?
We host regular prayer gatherings, seasonal retreats, and vocational conversations that connect faith with daily life. You can also join or start a workplace prayer network or book the space for reflection or connection.
